I feel that the author reached his goal, as this book is loaded with stories of the olden times. These stories really flesh out what life was like back in the formation of Clearfield Co., PA. The book is divided into 26 chapters, and each chapter has several sections. There are many stories about the first settlers of the county. Among these are the Bell's, Ogden's and Bloom's. This book has a wealth of information for the Clearfield Co., PA enthusiast, historian or genealogist.
